5.     Goal/Aim

 

The aim of this project is to raise awareness and take stock of the state and trends in net-zero emissions agro-technology development and diffusion and successful projects were chosen based on their GHG emissions reduction potential, excellence in innovativeness, and feasibility.

6.     The objectives of the project are manifold. These are as follows:

  1. Facilitating climate change adaptation planning and implementation of carbon reduction technologies in farmers’ field.
  2. To produce carbon fixing agro-technology in soil reducing carbon and methane emission.
  3. To develop innovative eco-friendly agro-technology for reducing chemical and pesticide spray in farmers field
  4. Sustainable development and marketing of the stated technology after completion of the project
  5. Strengthening capacity of farmers and rural people establishing Climate Change Learning Center in institutions and in 5 locations of the country with the connection of farmers’ field.
  6. Establishment of Climate Change and Agro-Innovation Center (CCAIC) in the proposed entity for sharing and supporting technology development and easy access platform for all stakeholders.
  7. Creating farmers’ group and exploring sustainable innovative agro-technology diffussions.
  8. Promotional items (Leaflet, poster, booklet, information LED billboard, comic, games) preparation and distribution to academic, professional organizations and stakeholders to create awareness about climate change effect on agriculture.
 
 

7.     Target Areas

:

Three (3) locations (Upzila’s) have been selected for executing the proposed project and after that it may be distributed to the whole country. Areas are: 1. Dhaka-Saver (150 Farmers) 2. Manikgong (Sadar, Saturia (200 farmers each upzila)) Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE) and (50 urban rooftop farmers/owners under City Corporation
